Get Published! NJCTE Call for Manuscripts

Happy fall! We hope this message finds you well.

We are the new co-editors of New Jersey English Journal, the flagship publication of the New Jersey Council of Teachers of English (NJCTE), an affiliate organization of National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE).

We are writing to extend an invitation to you and your English Education students. Can you please share our 2020 Call for Manuscripts with your students and professional networks? This year’s theme is “What’s Next? Embarking Upon a New Decade of English Language Arts.”

Our journal welcomes submissions from new and experienced teachers, including pre-service, in-service, undergraduate and graduate students. We seek research and practitioner-oriented pieces (1000-2000 words), as well as personal essays (700-1000 words) and other creative responses related to the theme and geared towards an audience of P–12 and postsecondary English Language Arts educators.

Some of our student writers have adapted ideas from university coursework for publication, so we wanted to extend this invitation before the end of the fall semester. Previous writers have also successfully adapted content from conference presentations for submission.

Please inform your students that they do not have to live or work in New Jersey to submit to the journal. We are also seeking reviewers, which can be a great way for new writers to familiarize themselves with our publication.

Thank you in advance for helping us to spread the word! Feel free to forward this message.

Sincerely,

Lauren Zucker, Ph.D.
